Cora Cora Maldives recently celebrated its 3rd anniversary in freedom style, bringing together guests, Freedom Fighters, and partners for a week filled with joy, gratitude, and excitement. The festivities began with a delightful cake-cutting ceremony at our management cocktail La Dolce Vita Meet and Greet, a moment that truly embodied the spirit of freedom and happiness we strive to offer our guests.
The celebrations continued with our fun-filled Viva La Cora pool party. Guests enjoyed refreshing coconut drinks and sizzling braai under the sun, all while soaking up the vibrant beats spun by our special guest, DJ Smoof. The poolside vibes were contagious, setting the tone for a day of life’s unlimited freedom vibes.
This year’s anniversary also highlighted our ongoing coral restoration project. The project has been a significant part of our journey, and it was heartening to come together as a community to celebrate our commitment to restoring and preserving the vibrant reefs that surround our island. Guests, staff, and partners alike took pride in the positive impact we’ve made, showcasing our dedication to marine conservation.
One of the most anticipated parts of our anniversary celebration was the Lūʻau Hawaiian-themed party. Even our Heads of Departments joined the fun, creating a memorable show that had everyone cheering and dancing along. It was a beautiful reminder of the camaraderie and joy that make Cora Cora Maldives feel like family.
To show our appreciation for our incredible team, we hosted a lucky draw for our staff, sparking excitement and smiles all around. The celebration continued with a sumptuous anniversary buffet dinner, featuring a variety of dishes from around the world, showcasing the culinary diversity we are known for. It was a feast for our freedom fighters that reflected the warmth and hospitality that Cora Cora brings to every guest’s experience.
The highlight of the celebration was the awarding ceremony, where we recognized our outstanding team members. Our Manager of the Year and Freedom Fighters of the Year for both Front of House and Back of House were honored for their dedication and passion. Their commitment to excellence has been a driving force behind our success, and it was a privilege to celebrate their achievements.
This year has also brought us numerous accolades, including the notable recommendation from Forbes Travel, recognition from Travel Trade Maldives as Most Picturesque Resorts and being named the Best Premium All-Inclusive Resort in the Maldives by Seven Stars Luxury Hospitality. We are very happy to receive as well International Sustainability Awards 2024 for our “Freedom Footprints Sustainability Program” where we highlight “Freedom comes with Responsbility” tagline. We also received multiple awards for our culinary excellence and luxury services, including the World Luxury Award for Asian Cuisine for Ginger Moon®, and the World Travel Award as the Indian Ocean’s Leading All-Inclusive Resort 2024. These honors are a testament to our team’s hard work and the unwavering support of our guests.
